I highly recommend staying at the Pine Tavern Lodge. My husband and I love Floyd, and it is our happy place. The Pine Tavern Lodge is becoming a home away from home. The room is comfortable and clean. They provide little amenities like snacks and mints. You are about 2 miles from the Floyd Country Store, which makes returning from a program a very short drive. We are looking forward to our next trip to Floyd and to staying at the Pine Tavern Lodge again.
Incredible building constructed in 1927. Purchased and restored by retired architect and interior designer couple. They are also the maids so you can imagine how clean it was. I had a two room suite with private deck off back for $100. Owner took me to my room and explained everything. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.
A beautiful lodge, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated! The owners go above and beyond to accommodate the guest! I arrived with 10 others to stay one night on our way to a WV quilters retreat. I had fallen at a restaurant in Greens boro on out trip to the retreat. We planned to stay overnight at the lodge and continue on our trip in the am. My fall sprained my ankle, I could hardly walk. The owners opened a room down stairs for me, helped me get into the room, got ice for my ankle. And treated me as if I was the most important guest they ever hosted! Yes I recommend this lodge. Haven’t stayed in such a beautiful accommodating place before !
Floyd is a great place for a quick getaway!!! We had a first floor suite with a fireplace, sitting area with kitchenette, and nice bedroom. Very clean and tastefully decorated. Would definitely recommend.
The Pine Tavern Lodge is our go to spot when traveling south to visit family. We recently visited on our way to our son’s wedding in Charlotte. Our room was lovely, as it is always is and nicely decorated. Enjoy its proximity to town and the Blue Ridge Parkway! Always look forward to our next visit!
Outstanding hotel…everything was super great from the first initial greeting from the sweet host to the very cozy and surprisingly roomy accommodations. The location is only a few miles to town but you feel like you are away from it all. If you are looking for a relaxing and clean place to stay with a family or just a couple’s getaway this should be your first choice. The price is amazing for the quality of service. I have stayed in 5 of the 6 rooms (thank you winter weather) and am always pleased with the rooms. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the showers have plenty of hot water with good pressure, each room has its own heat control. Located 1 mile from the edge of Floyd, it feels like country without the distance. Try it, you will be pleased.
